CBD Dosage Calculator

This calculator provides an initial guideline for the appropriate CBD dosage. However, each person reacts differently to CBD, so it is important to start slowly and gradually increase the dose if necessary. Trial and error is the best approach!

For 20 drops or more, we recommend the next higher concentrated oil.

What is CBD and how does it work?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a natural cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. In total, there are over 100 different cannabinoids, with THC and CBD being the most well-known.

Unlike THC, cannabidiol is not psychoactive and does not have an intoxicating effect. For this reason, cannabidiol can be legally purchased in Germany and many other countries.

Even though research into CBD is still in its early stages, there are already some promising indications that CBD could have several health benefits. When properly dosed, CBD can, among other things, help reduce anxiety, alleviate pain, promote healthy sleep, and counteract skin imperfections.

A study on mice and rats, among others, found that CBD can kill leukemia and colon cancer cells. However, research in this area is not yet validated.

What factors influence CBD dosage?

Once you have chosen a CBD product, it is important to find the optimal dosage. Too much or too little CBD can result in not achieving the desired effect or experiencing side effects.

First, you should know that there is no universal CBD oil dosage. The dosage mainly depends on the following factors:

  • Body weight/height
  • Age
  • Biological sex
  • Tolerance to CBD
  • Area of application / Desired effect

A good rule of thumb is to start with a low dose and slowly increase it until you notice the desired effect.

It is often better to take a small dose several times a day than a high dose all at once. This way, you can ensure that your body has enough time to absorb and process the active ingredients.

If you plan to take CBD over a longer period, you should regularly review your CBD dosage and adjust it if necessary. This is particularly important if your body weight changes or you are taking other medications.

If you want to use CBD to treat symptoms of an illness, you should always consult a doctor. This is especially important if you are already taking other medications.

CBD Dosage - Guide to Determining Your CBD Needs

As already described, there are no uniform dosage recommendations, as individual factors such as body weight and age influence the effect of CBD. Therefore, everyone must decide for themselves which CBD oil dosage is best suited for them.

However, some experts have developed general guidelines for CBD dosage. Most recommend a dose of 20-50 mg of CBD per day, depending on body weight and the severity of symptoms. Higher doses may be necessary for severe symptoms.

Even if there are no exact guidelines, there are some general tips that should be observed when dosing CBD:

  • Start with a low dose and slowly increase it until you achieve the desired effect. Our dosage calculator, which you can find at the beginning of the article, gives you a good starting point.
  • Take CBD at regular times and review your dosage every 2-4 weeks.
  • Observe your reaction to CBD and make adjustments if necessary.

Selecting a CBD Product

There are many different CBD products on the market (e.g., oils, sprays, capsules, flowers). To start, it makes sense to choose a CBD oil. This is because the dosage can be very precisely adjusted to individual needs using the dropper. CBD flowers require more experience.
